The travelingHof

A blog about life, travel, and anything else I think needs to be said

HoF – is accurate, and a misnomer at the same time. I’m currently a house of one. The name comes from the intention to represent myself as more than my individual parts, to have a legacy of some kind, and to share my stories, and thoughts in a way that reflects my understanding that my experience is not entirely unique, even though it may be uniquely shared by me.

I’ve always enjoyed reading, and writing, and have always wanted to share my thoughts in the written form. Facebook has been my primary outlet for this, but more and more I would like to have full control over my content instead of giving it away to enrich someone else. My hope is that you enjoy my writing style, and the topics I discuss.

Born in Michigan, I spent most of my life to this point in Atlanta, GA. In my previous life, I was a developer and business analyst for Delta Air Lines, Inc. The professional, and material experience I gained working for this large corporation is invaluable, even if the nature of the corporate environment can be soul-sucking. One of the great life lessons I was able to pickup as a result of this experience is that life isn’t always about me, and it’s important at times to put the needs of the group ahead of my own. I don’t think our modern culture understands this very well. While some people have what it takes to survive and thrive making it all about them, this never felt right for me. My personal view is that we do better when we work together with mutual respect.

I have a BA in Digital Media Production from the Art Institute of Atlanta. At this time, I don’t have much of a portfolio beyond my work for Delta. It is my hope with this blog that it breathes new inspiration into my creative side by providing me an outlet to share, and to be more creative.
